Spearheaded by Professor Mamoun Homeida UMST Sponsors CECAFA Media Workshop

For the purpose of playing a positive part in the programs accompanying CECAFA Tournament, UMST has launched an initiative that found praise and appreciation from the sports bodies, media outlets and and the community circles at large. UMST led by its Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Professor Mamoun Homeida, announced sponsoring the Media Workshop associated with the East and Central African Championship (CECAFA) for youth teams qualified for the African Nations Cup Egypt 2023. The Media Workshop will be organized by Sudan during the period from 28 October 2022 AD until 11 November 2022. In the workshop, the Ugandan Andrew Jackson from the Media Department of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) will lecture., the Media Officer of the CECAFA Confederation, scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, the 19th of October 2, 022, at ten in the morning at the Global Conference Center of the University.

Mr. Al-Sadiq Hassaballah, Vice-Chairman of the Media Committee for the CECAFA Championship, praised the collective spirit of the University and its Chairman, Professor Mamoun Homeida, for the generous initiative to sponsor the Media Workshop that precedes the tournament and accommodating it within the University premises and acknowledging the university’s role towards society and emphasizing its solid contribution towards supporting of all sport activities.

Mr. Hsaballah praised the initiatives adopted by the University towards pushing the national efforts to host major sporting events at the regional and continental levels, He has also specific in saluting Professor Mamoun Homeida, who sponsored the Workshop and in. making all the capabilities of the University available for national success, stressing its pioneering role it has systematically maintained towards supporting the causes of Sudanese society in general and sports activities in particular.
