Welcome to Faculty of Nursing Technology – UMST

Nursing is a cornerstone of the health service. Established in 2008, the School of Nursing Technology offers a three-year diploma in nursing and with the energy and dedication of our students, we provide excellent knowledge that focuses on practical tutorials at UMST University’s teaching hospitals.

mission :

To graduate Nurses with a high standard in practical nursing, capable of working in all areas in Sudan and abroad and of continuously educating themselves and having distinguished medical ethics. Higher Diploma in nursing (3 years).

Educational :

– Offer basic nursing education to undergraduates through an integrated curriculum.
– Continuing medical education – all health personnel.
– Contribute to community health education.

Services :

– Provide services in collaboration with other health providers at UMST teaching hospitals.

Location

The faculty of nursing sciences is located within the premises of the Academy Charity Teaching Hospital, where the clinical and field practice mainly takes place, as well as several other training institutions governmental and private, general and specialised within the Sudan health care delivery system. Our faculty has successful and enriching national, regional and international relationships with educational, health service institutions, nursing councils, UN and NGO’s etc. External examiners, regional and international, are invited annually to evaluate the BSc, MSc and PhD NSc nursing students and programmes.
